Breathe

When the wind takes you,  Let the breath go.  Trees move lazily,  Under the first winter's snow.  A pinecone trembles,  Shaking on a stem. To break or not, Is a seeds only whim. Only the nothing, Can verify it's being. What's invisible to the eye Has no less being.

Sultry Night

The sultry night hung heavy, Like moist towel smothered air, Neighbors snuggled tenderly, No chance of a bugaboo scare.   My city snored while I wrote, Until a melody danced to my ear. "An insect symphony!" I'd rapturously dote. Nature soothes... if only you could hear.
